Restaurant Shichijo Review Summary

I went there with my friend's recommendation.
I lined up 30 minutes before opening, wrote my name on the waiting board, and was able to enter the store smoothly.
The mixed fries were voluminous and filling.
It was delicious
The soup that came with it was also delicious.
When I saw that the person sitting next to me ordered a half bowl of hayashi rice, I thought that if I go next time, I might order a half bowl of hayashi rice and one of my favorite fries.

I went there because it had good reviews.
It was the height of the summer heat, but by writing my name at the entrance, I didn't have to wait in line and was able to kill time elsewhere until I thought it was almost time.

I went there around 11:50, and the place was full with customers who had just opened, so I had to wait about 40 minutes to get in.
Ordered the mixed fries set meal.
It took about 20 minutes for the food to come out.
It came out piping hot.
Two large shrimp 🦐, minced meat cutlet, and on this day it was salmon instead of horse mackerel.

The fries were crispy with a thin layer of batter on them. It's a delicious fried food that isn't greasy.
Still, we both drank half the beer, so we were full.

The pictures on the wall are bright and the cat sitting there is cute, and I like the atmosphere.

It seems to be popular at night too.
The first time I went there, it was full, so I'd like to make a reservation next time.

It gets a little crowded.
I have never met a place that surpasses this in terms of Western food.
Fried foods are light and not greasy.
Hayashi rice has a deep flavor and smells like wine, making it very delicious.
I want to go again.
I wrote my name at 11:30 on Saturday and entered the store around 12:30. Apparently you can't enter the store unless everyone is present.

I visited this restaurant several times for lunch when it was in Jimbocho.
This is my first visit after moving here.
I visited after 13:30 on a Saturday, and even at this time there were two groups waiting. It seems to be popular as expected.

An assortment of minced meat cutlet and fried shrimp will cost 1,350 yen.
My friend had a hamburger steak with demi-glace sauce for 2,050 yen.

I was told that the hamburger steak would take about 15 minutes, but I don't think it took that long.
The soup with vegetables will be served soon.
It looks like a soup from an ordinary set meal restaurant, but the taste is elegant and full of flavor, making it extremely delicious.
Also, please be careful as there is a lot of rice.
However, this rice is sweet and delicious.

Then the main dish arrived.
Plenty of salad. The shredded lettuce and carrots are included, and the slightly sour dressing is nice. And the potato salad is also delicious.

Fried shrimp is standing.
Big and thick. The batter is crispy and the shrimp are thick, so the texture is springy and has a perfect balance between crispy and boney.
Umami is also known and confined. The tartar sauce that comes with it is not too strong and has a nice refreshing flavor.
And my favorite minced meat cutlet.
This is classic minced meat with a firmer inside than fried shrimp.
The minced meat is neither too coarse nor too smooth, which is perfect.
The seasoning is elegant without being too strong, but the flavor is trapped in the batter and is delicious.
The hamburger was shaped like a rugby ball, and when you cut it, the meat juices came out.

It's a famous store after all.

It's probably been 15 years since I visited Jimbocho in the basement of the Shogakukan building. This was my first visit after the move. I'll never forget how delicious and moving the fried shrimp lunch was. The price has gone up a bit, but the taste is perfect. It wasn't too oily, and the taste of the shrimp harmonized wonderfully with the accompanying tartar sauce. It's only about half the capacity of the previous store, but if you're this satisfied, you'll want to wait for lunch.
Next time I want to make a reservation and come in the evening.
