For an older mature crowd
Not much flexibility
Made reservation at 330pm but arrived early
Asked if we could be seated but was told restaurant was full
At 3pm, 6 groups had left and 2 groups were seated before us
Asked several times if we could be seated earlier but they insisted room was packed
We finally got seated and there must have been 5-7 tables open
Even after we got seated only 2 other groups were seated for the next 2 hours
In Japan you will often encounter such an experience
For Japan to become more global they should learn to be more flexible, adapt to change and not act as robots (everything is done by the book)
