Chanced upon this Russian restaurant @ Ginza. I’ve never had Russian food before & this was 101 out of 100! I ordered the weekday lunch set & it was very affordable. I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the appetizer but the carrot walnut salad & the lemon seasoned mushrooms were really good! The bread was good too! One of the staff (svetlana) could speak English & she would describe the dish when it arrived. Finally, they served hot tea with jam at the end (that was interesting because jam + tea is such a great combination!) I would visit this restaurant again!

Stumbled upon this place and had a wonderful 5 course meal with my husband for lunch. I loved every dish and would come back again if I could.
My favourites were the Borscht soup, Creamy Beef Stroganoff and my Tea. I love sweet Tea and this one had Jam. Really delicious and interesting 😍

We visited Rogovski restaurant during our trip to Tokyo and were treated to authentic Russian cuisine. The multi-course Russian Course” introduced us to classic flavors.
Some of the dishes we enjoyed included black caviar served with a Russian pancake, a hearty chicken pie, and pelmeni dumplings. Each traditional preparation was superbly made.
Our server was highly professional in presenting each course. He spoke fluently in Japanese and Russian to accommodate all guests.
I would highly recommend stopping here for a memorable experience. Both the quality food and service made us feel warmly welcomed. We will definitely return next visit.

having been to Russia and enjoyed the wonderful cuisines of Georgia and Uzbek, we probably had too high of expectation. the food here failed to impress us. the tomato salad had too much oil, the mushroom lemon appetizer had strong onion taste. the lamb steak and the pilaf were ok, but nothing memorable. the service, as usual in japan, was wonderful.

I love Russian food and I visit a lot of Russian restaurants while I’m in NY. I’ve probably visited every single Russian restaurants in Manhattan. I enjoyed the food here very much but coming from that background, i felt something was missing. However, it is very hard to find legit Russian restaurant and food here seem very legit to me. pirozhki was very very good too. Located in very central Ginza area.
