It was a Friday night. Every eateries were full house. We were glad that Ryoma Shamo has two tables for the 9 of us. The place was packed with office executives, rowdy and busy. A good drinking place after a hard day’s work. We had the nabe sukiyaki, grilled chicken, grilled fish, ramen and fried noodle with 3 glasses of Kirin beer. The draft beer is refreshing and good. Noodles is well cooked with lots of veggies. Chicken is of small portion and the fish is a little saltish. There is a clear instruction on cooking the sukiyaki, it was fun for the party but the sauce was too sweet for us

Convenient izakaya (Japanese pub) near Kyoto Station. They serve all kinds of alcoholic drinks and Japanese style pub food. They are famous for its chicken dishes. But I was quite disappointed that some of the teriyaki dishes are served cold. Don't know it's normal or just because of busy hours.

The food is nice but their service is damn bad, we have 2 person and we order sukiyaki + some other food.. We requested if we can shift to a bigger table but the staff refuse and we ask why did the others able to sit on a table of 4 when they have only 2pax.. Their respond is because they reserved and the funny part is there are empty seats around but they refuse to change for us. And the staff that refuse to change if Im get it correct should be ごとう.

It is basic food but good. I big thumb up to the staff, really friendly, and they can speak English =] price is also ok, large choice of food. It's a good place to relax after a long walking day. It was not busy when we went there (around 9 pm). The Nabe is really good.
