Ryūmon Review Summary

The mapo tofu is genuinely spicy and good. Only accepts paypay and cash during lunch. It gets busy, be prepared to share a table with strangers.

Good and tasty sichuan restaurant, perfect for a rainy autumn day. Small cost establishment, but packed full of lunchtime eaters. Had the chicken lunch set, which included rice, soup and dessert, tingly spicy and hit the spot.

Pretty pricey for a Sichuan restaurant, and they were *very* cheap on the amount of chicken in the signature dry fried Sichuan/chili chicken. About twice as much dried chili as chicken.
The mabo tofu was great however, and all dishes are definitely spicy enough 🌶 🌶 🌶
But, there are definitely better Sichuan restaurants, with better prices, in Tokyo.
Service was so-so, no English but they seem to understand a little. Plus for having a semi-english menu though.

My first choice to eat hot Sichuan Chinese foods. Mabomen is my favorite.

Expensive and not at all impressive. Only came here because almost every other single (non-chain, non-Western) restaurant in the area was either booked out or unpleasant to be in. This was Sunday at 8:30PM! Advise going to a different area if you haven't booked ahead.
