A typical Izakaya with a long counter and some separate tables. The sake menu is not too long, but contains a good selection of tasty Nihonshu. I particularly liked the Suigyoku (翠玉), a Junmai Ginjo from Akita. The food was excellent. Special mention goes to the Dashimaki (Rolled Dashi Omelet), the best I had in years, the Katsuo no Tataki (Seared Bonito) and the Hamaguri Clam Clear Soup. Not cheap, but worth the investment... Recommended!

I visited a pub I was interested in for lunch.
Daily set meal of fried horse mackerel and sesame amberjack.
It is rich in small bowls and colorful.
It was the first time I saw the shape of fried horse mackerel,
It was fluffy and crispy.
The sesame amberjack was the best.
The rice was also from the previous day,
It tasted just like the rice of the day.
I would like to visit Kuruuni next time.

Today's miso-grilled salmon lunch is delicious and affordable. I'm glad that it comes with a small side of vegetables and some sashimi.
