Japanese: Ramen

San San Nana Description

San San Nana is a hidden gem located in Kawasaki, Kanagawa. This cozy restaurant specializes in tsukemen, a type of ramen where the noodles are served separately from the broth. The name 'San San Nana' is derived from the Japanese words for 'three' and 'seven,' which represent the perfect balance of flavors that the restaurant aims to achieve in their dishes.

What sets San San Nana apart from other ramen shops is their dedication to quality and attention to detail. The noodles are made in-house using a traditional recipe, resulting in a firm and chewy texture that pairs perfectly with the rich and flavorful broth. The broth itself is simmered for hours, allowing the flavors to develop and intensify.

One of the standout menu items at San San Nana is their signature tsukemen. The thick and hearty broth is packed with umami, and the noodles are cooked to perfection. The dish is served with a variety of toppings, including tender slices of chashu (braised pork), ajitama (marinated soft-boiled egg), and crunchy menma (bamboo shoots). Each bite is a burst of flavor and texture, making it a truly satisfying meal.

The restaurant's interior is warm and inviting, with wooden furnishings and soft lighting creating a cozy atmosphere. The friendly and attentive staff are always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations, ensuring that every dining experience at San San Nana is memorable.

If you're a ramen enthusiast or simply looking to try something new, San San Nana is a must-visit. Their dedication to quality ingredients, meticulous cooking techniques, and warm hospitality make it a standout in the bustling ramen scene of Kawasaki.

Nice tsukemen. I like the chicken broth especially during diet days(feels way healthier than tonkotsu). Their noodle serving is a lot. You can ask for more broth. I will probably go back again since this shop is near my place.

Place to go for your tsukemen craving. Hole on the wall style, cash only. Get your ticket from the vending machine and join the queue.

I'm not a religious man but if there was any evidence of God it's that this place exists because it is divine. The ramen is out of this world and the staff are very kind. Very cozy spot and probably the best ramen I had in Japan.
