I visited an Indian/Nepali restaurant that regularly appears in the 100 Best Asian and Ethnic Restaurants list on a certain review site for a holiday lunch.
On the aforementioned review site, the restaurant received great praise and high ratings, such as ``The best in Tokyo'' and ``No other restaurant comes close to serving butter chicken curry,'' so I was hoping that it would open new doors. I didn't really feel like I was getting any special or revolutionary stimulation from it, but it was rather delicious.
What I received was a lunch set for two people, each of whom chose a different curry. Butter chicken curry, dal curry, mutton curry, and keema curry. The set includes naan, rice, salad, and drink.
Instead of thinking, ``That store's food is better,'' or ``I wish it was a little more like this,'' I was able to learn that ``this is the kind of taste that people in this genre appreciate.''
The attentive service was very pleasant, and the naan baked in the tandoor oven was also very delicious.
Thank you for the meal today.
