Sanukiudon Kirakuan Review Summary

One of the best udon places in Japan, the owners are lovely and the ingredients were fresh and well cooked. The broth was delicious and I truly enjoyed the scenery while eating the udon! Highly recommend 👍

Wonderful home-made udon with Kansai-style broth...

I've been going to Kirakuan, a Michelin-starred restaurant, for about 10 years now.It's udon that warms you from the inside out on a cold day, and the flavor is outstanding.Although it's not as good as Sanuki udon, the chewy noodles are first-class. The owner was also surprised as it seems like the restaurant received the Michelin title a few years ago.
I will visit you again when it gets cold again.

The handmade udon noodles made by the owner are firm and have a nice texture. The soup stock was also delicious. They also sell soup base. The downside is that there is no parking lot and opening hours are limited. Please refer to the attached photo for business days and hours.

The two of us had nabeyaki udon, duck nanban, and quick rice.
The air conditioner is working really well, so the warm udon noodles are a perfect match. The light soup stock and udon noodles are perfect.
Next, I wanted to enjoy noodles with soy sauce udon. This is a friendly shop run by a couple.
The only parking lot is 7 and 8 behind the izakaya in front of the store, and the problem is that it is difficult to park.
