Sao Dou Hua Shinjuku Review Summary

Their Taiwanese noodle was delish! I knew this place from a friend and interested to try their food. Aside from noodle, they also have Taiwanese-style fried chicken and the tofu-based dessert with peanuts and sweet potato. They also have few bubble tea menu. I reccomend to go before dinner’s or lunch’s peak hour as there might be queue line.

Unfortunately, I do not think it was worth the price. The douhua was not what I expected from Taiwan, and the red beans were too sweet. Above all, it was so different from taro balls, which made me sad.
The wontons were average but expensive.

可もなく不可もなく。
Had dou hua and shared a piece of Taiwan fried chicken with a friend. The food tastes ok, the douhua was blander and at the same time sweeter than I expected. The chicken lack some flavor in my opinion.
Service was good though, the restaurant itself is clean and well designed.

This is Taiwanes cafe. The menu has both meal and dessert. I ordered tofu pudding （豆花）with tapioca. It comes with peanuts, red beans and shaved ice. The syrop tastes like black sugar and isn't so sweet. They are offering other limeted seasonal menu which looks good too!
