Despite being a one-man show, the chef at せん田 takes pride in providing impeccable service to every guest. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with a warm smile and made to feel like a cherished patron. The chef not only prepares the dishes but also serves them, taking the time to explain the flavors and ingredients ( even for foreign quest who can not speak Japanese) , adding a personal touch to the entire dining experience. If you are a fan of classic Kaiseki food, the chef's culinary creations are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Exceptional cuisine experience in Kyoto, the dishes was carefully thought-out and beautifully presented, you can feel the care and hard work the chef put into his menu.

The chef & staff does not know English but tried their best to accommodate us. The place is also out of tourist area, making a quite & relaxing atmosphere.

We was welcomed by a local who was also dining there, she was so kind to help us translate and understand the meaning of the dishes.

We are gratefully for this one of a lifetime experience!
We sure will visit again on our next trip to Japan

The four seasons can be felt through the dishes and tableware, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the elegant taste.
The bowl of specially selected hassun, shinjo, and the eel rice to finish off the meal were also exquisite.
It was a peaceful and relaxing time for the husband and wife, thank you for the meal.
I would like to visit again in the fall or winter.
