We enjoyed our “kare soba” stop here after our visit to Sanzen-in. Had never had that combination before and I enjoyed it much more than the usual kare udon. The decor in the restaurant was very tasteful, with nice views through large windows, and good service. Highly recommended for quick and tasty lunch.

After visiting Sanzen-in Temple, I decided to have an early lunch before it was crowded and went to a nearby soba teahouse. I had the flavored curry grated soba at Seryo Chaya (I think it's the name of a place that has existed in Ohara for a long time), and it was interesting to see how it was arranged like curry rice. It was quite cold this time, so I got the oden set. The oden was Kyoto style and delicious.
