overall, the vegetable dishes were fresh and very well done.
- 1 star for the salmon dish as while it was not stale, we felt it was rather hard.
do note that reservations are needed to avoid disappointment as they are sold out almost daily, i could secure my reservation by calling them. check out their instagram page as they will update what dates they are sold out for @imari_breakfast

We were very lucky to walk in without a reservation - dinner was one of the best. Sashimi was so fresh, everything was cooked to perfection! Claypot rice with sea bream was worth the wait, pure and delicious. Kyoto roast duck served cold with mustard was great too. We’ll be back!

A great little restaurant tucked away in a friendly neighborhood. The food is traditional Japanese and several Kyoto dishes as well. All made fresh right in front of the show kitchen. The team is super friendly. The interior is also very nice and warm. They have great selection of sake. Please book in advance as they get very busy and easily booked out, we got lucky there was a table that cancelled.
Their beef rice and sashimi is a must try, as well as their tempura options.
They are famous for their breakfast and they don't accept walk-in so definitely book ahead of time.
