Not sure what others think buts it is worth every jpy of the jpy110k I paid for two. "What it is" is, I got a perfectly designed meal with great ingredients done in innovative ways. I especially liked the fresh fukahire (rarely found anywhere else) done in an extremely thick clam based soup. Suzue san also recommended white wine and sake that went perfectly with the food. And on top of that, the utensils he used are museum art quality - we were eating while reading magazines that describe the very utensils right in front of us, made by 尾形乾山 300 years ago.
And to put it in relative terms, it was 50% cheaper than hyotei or kiccho which could easily set you back 100k per head.
