The soba (そば or 蕎麦) was so well-made. It was perfectly bouncy, especially the zaru soba (ざるそば). However, my favorite dish of this visit was the vegetable Tempura, wonderfully glaced with soy sauce. They offer Mala powder on the side, too! The service was really nice. The server was really professionally polite and could speak English. The interior was warming and Japanese homey.

Best soba noodle I have had!
I wasn’t a noodle lover and I usually avoid carbs. When the set came I was hesitated : such a HUGE portion of wheat noodle so a. How am I gonna to finish it? The answer: when it’s delicious enough you will definitely finish it.
Dipping the noodle into the cold broth gives it a fantastic flavor. And the tempura that came with it was well-fried. Adding a little bit of salt made the whole meal complete. At the end, the soba soup was given and when you pour it together with the cold broth and drink it - man it’s so yummy! Better than coke!
Their house-made plum wine was also a plus - less sweet than the branded one and very refreshing.
Can not recommend this place enough. Come over for a summer cold soba treat!

We don't remember having had better soba (especially the cold せいろ), so we went back like 4 times when staying in the area for a week. Nothing on their menu disappoints. If you don't know the menu well start with the set gets you are a bit of everything with really good value - including the kinako ice cream which is a must try.
The shop doesn't stay open for very long and it's popular, so make sure you check their hours closely and arrive a bit before they open. And don't expect this to be a quick bite, good soba takes time to prepare...

Great food and service, will be slightly hard to figure out the menu without Japanese language skills as it is all in Japanese and also be prepared to wait to get in as there are very limited seats
