I’ve never had such flavoursome curry before and I loved all three types we had ordered. It’s just comfort food at its best. The spices may be overwhelming for some but it’s not too hot to eat, and the accompanying yogurt on the side helps to mellow and balance out the intensity. We also ordered some nice chai drinks to go with the curry. The portions were perfect: generous but not overkill.
The staff were very friendly and kind as well. They took the time to explain the menu slowly as my Japanese is limited. When I asked if the famed Taro-chan was up and about, they kindly called upstairs, and down came the senior cat, who sat with us for our whole dinner. I hope we didn’t annoy everyone with taking too many pictures.

Mecha oishi! Very accommodating to our foreigner family. We got the mixed spice curry and egg and rice for the children who cannot eat curry. It smelt amazing when it came out and the taste definitely matched up. It was delicious! Interesting decor and cool jazz music in the background. Glad to have tried this Osaka specialty!

really good curry, blended well with a lot of different spices, not the typical Japanese curry, imagine japanese curry loaded with more herbs and spices, we love the beef and pork keema curry. homy atmosphere.
