Steak & Wine Ishizaki Main Shop Description

Located in the bustling Susukino district of Sapporo, Steak & Wine Ishizaki Main Shop is a hidden gem for steak lovers. This restaurant specializes in high-quality teppanyaki-style steak made from premium Japanese black wagyu beef. It has been selected as one of the top 100 teppanyaki restaurants in Japan for 2022 by both the Teppanyaki Hyakumeiten and Tabelog rankings.

What sets Steak & Wine Ishizaki apart from other dining establishments is their commitment to showcasing the natural flavors of the beef. The skilled chefs lightly sear the fresh wagyu beef on the teppan grill, allowing the meat to retain its original taste and tenderness. The result is a melt-in-your-mouth experience that is both luxurious and satisfying.

One of the standout menu items is the Roast Beef, served cold and prepared with their exclusive 'Ezo Tajima Beef.' This rare and highly sought-after beef is sourced from a limited number of producers in the nearby town of Ebetsu. The restaurant takes pride in processing the beef themselves to ensure the utmost freshness and quality. The Roast Beef is a must-try dish that perfectly showcases the delicate flavors of this exceptional beef.

In addition to their exquisite steak offerings, Steak & Wine Ishizaki also boasts an impressive wine cellar with over 600 bottles and 160 varieties to choose from. The restaurant's elegant and inviting atmosphere, combined with the live cooking experience, creates a truly memorable dining experience.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in a top-notch steak, Steak & Wine Ishizaki Main Shop is the perfect destination for discerning meat lovers.

They did everything right. From allowing us to dine without reservations. To the very end, their attention to detail was impressive. We ordered the Chateau Briand and Filet Mignon with the set meal that included starters, salad, and dessert. which were all excellent.

Very relaxed atmosphere, unhurried pace made for the most memorable meal of our trip to Sapporo.

We found this teppanyaki online after driving in at around 6pm. There were already some good reviews in English and many more in Japanese. We took the chance of walking in with no reservations and were accepted at the counter. To our delight Chef/Owner Ishizaki attended to us personally. we ordered 2 different set meals ,their 22nd anniversary set and the chef's recommended beef tannou course. The food quality was excellent and it was a treat to watch the Chef at work whilst seated at the counter. Chef took pains to explain all his dishes, often resorting to google translation to get his message across. We found the dinner to be very good value in lieu of the premium quality and freshness. Will definitely refer and /or re visit.

Teppanyaki and Hibachi are two Japanese cooking styles that involve grilling on a hot iron plate. While often used interchangeably, they have distinct differences. Teppanyaki refers to cooking on a flat griddle, where chefs skillfully prepare dishes like steak, seafood, and vegetables in front of diners. Hibachi, on the other hand, uses a round, open-grate grill heated by charcoal or gas, imparting a smoky flavor to the food. Discover the nuances and theatrical flair of these two captivating Japanese culinary arts.
