Sugamo Tokiwa Shokudo Main Store Review Summary

So so good! The atmosphere is lively and full of energy. It gets very busy during lunch time but if you don’t mind a counter, then you will be seated quickly. Everything is fresh, delicious and very affordable. There’s a sauce set for every person and unlimited tea. I hope to come back!

They have an English translated menu with pictures. They accept various forms of payment.

If you visit the Sugamo main shopping street, you need to come here and have a meal. The teishoku sets are greatly priced, and they are delicious. The owner cares about the ingredients he uses, and it shows. We tried the mixed fried treishoku as well as the maguro sashimi set. Both sets were delicious. I will say the mixed fry set was the highlight. I recommend it to all who visit. The staff is also great and attentive.

If you're in Sugamo, you must try this shokudo place. I had soy sauce simmered Hokkaido Cod. It could not be cooked better!

Every time I eat here it’s great! Reasonably priced. These are family style meals made exceptionally well.

Yaki sakana, saba miso, fried fish, kaki fry etc. Food is always fresh and set menus include rice and miso soup.

Service is great and atmosphere is really lovely. The food makes me feel like I’m at home.

Delicious food, staff will guide you to order from the wall. When we say that we don’t understand Japanese, they have supplied English menu for foreigners, but seems the daily limited options was not able to be included in the English menu, luckily were sit next to a table have really nice order, so we just asked staff to help to order the identical set on their table, the neighbor were really nice to let us to look at their meal, very appreciate Japanese kindness 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 and the food is very fresh, no matter raw or fried. Many people in the store.
