Sugidama Fushimi-momoyama Review Summary

Delicious and fresh nigiris. The tempura was the best one I had tried in Kyoto. They have nice package deals which a recommend. The service was fast and staff was attentive. Nice ambience as well

The food tasted good but the presentation could have been better. The nigiri were kind of a mess. Also this is the first restaurant that put wasabi on maki. The server did ask of wasabi was ok but I assumed for nigiri only so I said yes. The children who I ordered the maki for were unpleasantly surprised ☹️ I didn't know so I never clarified and wasn't about to ask for it to be corrected since I said yes to wasabi. Just struck me as odd after 2 weeks in Japan and never encountering maki with wasabi preloaded.

Great value for money lunch offering. We had the Angus beef. Friendly staff.

I never had a salmon that soft and melty in my lifeeeeeeee and the potato salad is so cute
