THE BEST SUSHI IN THE WORLD! Please do not let these negative reviews deter you from this truly incredible experience of sushi mastery. We arrived right on time for our 5:30 reservation and were greeted at the door. There was one other group - all of us were foreigners. Never did we feel unwelcome or disrespected. He gave clear instructions with each sushi on how to eat and did not rush us once. Even when we asked questions, he was very nice and gracious.

He did correct his son when he did something incorrectly, but NEWS FLASH, this isn’t sushi 101, this is a master teaching an apprentice.

I also have no clue what these comments about the rice having too strong of a vinegar taste. I’ve tasted other great sushi, but this was the BEST rice I have ever had. That is what makes this sushi the best. It’s not the fish, it is the rice. He even shared some insight into the care that goes into making the rice. That is why you have to eat it immediately. It is the perfect temperature and is perfectly crafted for the time reservation.

The amount of care, studying, professionalism and passion is unmatched. An unforgettable experience!

We had a really great experience and this was the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life by far.

I’ve been to a lot of amazing Michelin Star rated sushi restaurants in NYC but nothing compares to this - it really is on another level.

Takashi Ono was super personable and we had an awesome time talking to him. This definitely made our trip and is totally worth it 100%.

Just came from Jiro. My partner and I had the 15 course lunch menu with 2 extra add on pieces at the end.

He was very attentive and had a warm atmosphere explaining everything in Chinese and English for us.

Finished everything in 45 min while taking a picture of all the pieces. We even got a picture with the chef. Do not listen to the one star reviews as I think they are the issue
