Sukiyaki Chikayo

Sukiyaki Chikayo is a delightful Sukiyaki restaurant located near Katase-Enoshima station. Although it is situated in a residential area, it is not far from the station and can be easily found.

Unlike other Sukiyaki restaurants, the beef is not served in hot pot style with vegetables. Instead, the staff will show you the cow's information regarding the beef you will eat before they cook it in front of you. The Wagyu beef is delicious as it is soft and full of flavor. Other than the beef, you will be served with a bowl of rice, a raw egg, a dish of tsukemono and a bow of miso soup. All of them combined together with the wagyu beef resulted in a wonderful meal.

The staffs were very friendly and we had a chat during my last visit. Overall my experience in this restaurant is flawless and it is highly recommended to come.

Very private dining experience, in a small restaurant which is “hidden”. Had our dinner after visiting Enoshima island and to our pleasant surprise the food was absolutely incredible. The beef is of the highest grade possible and it was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of soy sauce + sugar. The chef / owner also speak simple mandarin which is a big plus.

美味い，I don’t have any words to describe the taste, if you go, you will know what’s my feelings, not only perfect.

Pls do not hesitate to try. Since the queue has not yet build up for this store :) thanks to the friendly and great service from the owner and unique well cooked Sukiyaki!

I visited this sleek restaurant with my Italian friends visiting Japan to experience Kyoto style sukiyaki, which dates back to Meiji period when Japanese government promoted beef meat as part of their modernisation policy. With very affordable price, especially compared to other sukiyaki restaurants, we had mouthwatering wagyu sukiyaki cooked by the owner in front of us. Needless to mention the quality of wagyu beef, you can see the attention to the detail they put such as iron cooking pot, rice and atmosphere of the counter. The owner are very friendly and funny with a lot of back stories how he reached this style. Highly recommended for everyone.
