Sumibi Maruichi Review Summary

It was late at night, we were cold, hungry and tired and everywhere else was closed or not serving real food anymore. We looked on google maps and saw this place with deer meat and thought it was interesting so we went to take a look.

The owner (owner’s son) was so welcoming and warm, spoke really good English and gave excellent recommendations. We especially loved the ‘round meat’ and ‘spareribs’! The whole atmosphere was also super cozy not like a ‘commercialised’ restaurant, more like your friendly neighbourhood mom and pop place that serves soul warming delicious food. We had a great time. If I lived in this neighbourhood I would want to come eat here every week. ❤️

Lovely place!! We had an excellent dinner. The salted tongue and deer were favorites! Peach and grapefruit sours were on point! Highly recommend!!

A really good restaurant. 3-min walk distance from Hatagaya station. And the staff is very friendly and nice whose quality of service is brilliant. We even had a time to enjoy sake with the staff together. Such a warm treat is hard to forget about. Definitely we will be back next time.

Amazing restaurant! The sever, Seiya, was very attentive, helpful, and spoke perfect english. He explained the whole menu and showed us how to cook the meats. Would give it a 10/10 and highly recommend. Such a relaxing ambiance. Good prices as well.
