First visit to Sumiyoshiya main store!
Location
8-16 Daishihonmachi, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture
I ordered (tax included)
Fu manju 170 yen
It was delicious with mugwort in it.
Cough candy 300 yen
Contains 5 types of medicinal herbs
Kawasaki Daishi specialty Kusu mochi 1150 yen
3 pieces (54 pieces)
Delicious with lots of soybean flour! It contains brown sugar syrup, so even if you put a lot of it on, there's still a lot left over, so it's helpful. I also like that it is cut into pieces that are easier to eat.
Highly recommended!
If you have a chance, please come!

The original Kusumochi. Fu manju. is famous. It is a long-established store founded in 1896. Both the Kusu mochi and the fu manju were delicious. It was a unique item that could not be compared to anything from other stores. The soybean flour, honey, and bean paste have an elegant taste without being too sweet. It's a really long-established store. Recommended for people who are picky about taste. Since it's a fresh confectionery, it won't last long.

February 2023: Used the cafe after visiting Kawasaki Daishi. After paying for the famous ``Kusu mochi'', the mysterious ``fu manju'', and iced coffee at the entrance, I went to my seat. I used to buy and eat Kuzumochi from Funawa and Funabashiya in the Kanto area at department store basements and stations, but this one had a more rustic aroma, and I felt that it was thicker and more concentrated than smooth. It was my first time making a wheat gluten manju, and the dough was chewy and moist, and the red bean paste was just right and delicious. The store is also clean and comfortable. The iced coffee is average, but the sencha that was served was extremely delicious. Oshiruko looks good on cold days.
Next to the cafe is a shop facing the road.
Kusu mochi has a shelf life of 2 days. The fu manju was available on the same day.
