Sungari Shinjuku Eastside Review Summary

The atmosphere was good, good for a date, but it can get a bit loud at times.
They have a weird policy of 1 soup per person,and since we weren't that hungry, we had to ditch it.
They were out of dumplings too, so couldn't get those.
Canbage roll was good, loved the sauce! Kiev Cutlet was okay-ish. Felt that the Cutlet was a bit cold. The sautéed potatoes were good.
Meat pie was cold as well. Loved the dessert though.

Expensive, but it’s worth it. Highly recommended for a date. Make sure you order dumplings in advance to not miss out, and don’t forget to try their great selection of flavored vodkas.

Russian course meal with amazing ambience. The food specially the appetizer were delicious. The main which was the skewered lamb was quite below average according to me given it was quantity wise less and flavor lacked as well. There should be proper dessert with such course. Overall good restaurant for try.

A very interesting place, Service is exceptional..food is mostly good, though pricy and small portion . Really liked pelmeni. They were piping hot and super tasty. Beef stew was good as well. But I am very disappointed with borscht. They should know how to make borscht. Instead, they are serving a deluted soup.

Food is were unbelievably delicious, it was my first time to try Russian restaurant, I didn’t even know what they eat in Russia and now I know it very well, I will definitely revisit here again.

Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try authentic Russian food.
