Sushi Ishida Review Summary

Great find if you are looking for off the beaten track sushi. The man who runs this place seems to be a local legend. Very fresh and expertly prepared. We chatted (via translate app) and he waved us off down the road. Five stars all round!

Quiet local place near Sumizome Station.
I had the Kaisendon. The fish were really fresh and thick, and vinegar level in the sushi rice was really good. Price is very reasonable considering the quality. I think they have lunch specials which are even better value.

Found this restaurant close to our hotel and was amazed by the quality of the nigiri! Highly recommend the Kaisendon! Note: no English menu / chef didn't know english but was very friendly!

Great sushi and nice lunch sets. Value for money. Located in a side street near to the station. As it is a quiet town, there was no crowd at lunch on Sunday.

Great food with reasonable price. There’s almost no tourists but all locals.
