Sushi Kappo Miyuki Review Summary

Nice, clean and well maintained hotel room, all basic amenities and cosmetic available. Room conditioning good. Our stay included breakfast🍳☕🍞. Good continental breakfast. Hotel staffs helpful. Situated near to Temples🕌🕌, near the main river dividing the city in old and new. Very good location of the hotel for a tourist.

One of the best omakases we’ve had in a while. The chef doesn’t speak much English but you just eat whatever the chef prepares; your only decision is what to drink. We made reservations beforehand online (super easy and required since the chef prepares exactly enough fish for folks dining). There were 16 courses (mostly nigiri but also dessert, soup, etc). All the fish/uni/conger eel/etc were so tender and fresh and the rice was 👌. It’s a small spot frequented by locals, but can’t recommend it enough. It reminded me of Juni in SF but w/o the price and with a little more homey ambiance.

I met the owner of the restaurant I used to go to about 10 years ago when he was running a sushi restaurant in Kyoto, so I was finally able to visit him.

The entrance also has a nice atmosphere. A store with only a counter. Is there a total of 10 seats? Even though it's a weekday, the restaurant is fully booked with reservations.

Meals are course only. They serve the food one after another at a good tempo. Both grilled and boiled dishes are delicious! All the nigiri sushi were delicious too.

Alcohol also includes beer and sake. In particular, there was a wide variety of Japanese sake. Personally, I was nostalgic for the ``dareguchi''. Well, it's been a while since I've had a drink. Wine too! There was a brand that I thought would be better, but I was surprised at the price. I can't ask (lol)

The atmosphere of the store is easy to understand on YouTube. We're living in an era where Tabelog is no longer a thing 😭.

I used this restaurant before, and the general's personality, taste, and cost performance were all good, so I came back.
I was very satisfied this time as well, and the couple I was with was also very happy.
