Sushi Kotobuki #Shinjuku

Tucked away in a busy street of West Shinjuku, Sushi Kotobuki is a offer a nice Omakase course with high quality fishes, you can tell they also put a lot of thought into elevating the toppings and condiments here. The shari is on the softer side and has a light flavour but goes well with tonight’s selection of fish. The aji was particularly good, the onion, green onion and ginger paste completely knocked me off my feet, I usually don’t like the strong tasting ginger on top of aji, this was well-thought out. Uni was of course spectacular and the fish based miso soup was also great.

it is in the basement with very traditional set up. There are 14 seats around the sushi bar where you can watch the two sushi chefs work their magic. The sushi is the best. Kitchen items are less impressive. Overall worth the price if someone wants the best sushi Tokyo offers.

Surprisingly good- fresh fish and the chef managed to balance the flavour nicely. Atmosphere is nice too, even tho it’s underground, it’s clean, neat and quiet. Will visit again!
