The BEST meal we had in Japan. There are many places you can get great omakase I am sure but here’s why it’s 5 star:
The service was thoughtful and exceeded all expectations. From when we got out of our Uber, they greeted us before we even got the chance to open the door. One of the owners called us a taxi without us even asking.
We ended up not doing the pairing because we only wanted sake, and they recommended us such unique and limited bottles and even explained the glassware choice for each glass.
The chef was masterful and watching him make the sushi was like art. He is gentle and so precise with each piece.
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had!! Looking forward to returning again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed this omakase meal at Sushi M. From first step into the restaurant the ambience was perfect, the chef did a great job in terms of selection of fresh ingredients, knife skill, presentation of each and every dish, and timing of each course were perfect. The whole dinner was a show and it was delivered with flare and fireworks. I opted for the sake pairing, even at the basic package every sake was carefully selected to enhance the taste of food. This 12seat restaurant in my opinion deserves at least 1 Michelin star.

This place is located in a very cute neighborhood and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great, we met some nice people who we sitting next to us. Now, the food is good but not spectacular which I was expecting it to be for the price (330$ CAD). The nigiris lack a bit of creativity and were rather plain. The didn’t use a lot of luxurious ingredients such as caviar, truffle, uni, etc which I was expecting to see more of. The service is quite good. Overall had a good experience but would not come back.
