Sushiden Kenzan Review Summary

I think overall this restaurant deserves three to four stars. It is in a very convenient location in Koyoto’s Karawamachi station area (across from the station mall). Its sushi is reasonably priced with a pretty generous selection and fair quality. I liked its miso soup and steamed egg, both came very hot in a cold winter night. Not too bad. There was a short wait even at 6pm on a Saturday night.

This restaurant is located on the top floor of Matsuya. Had a quick lunch here on a weekday without reservation. Welcomed in by staff and got seated straight away. A bit on the pricey side for ala-carte sushi but ordered the set that comes with 7 various fresh toppings, appetiser and miso soup. For about $25 it’s a good value.
Sushi was fresh and delicious. Miso soup was good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall enjoyed my lunch and would not mind coming back.

Pretty much an Edo style sushi place in Kyoto. It’s on the more pricy side, but it got fresh fish and stuff.

Counter seating recommended, super fresh seafood with excellent tempura and grilled options, all with a personal chef serving it up! Must try!

The Omakase set was excellent. The fish was fresh and delicious.
I'm not usually a fan of sushi made from scallop or uni but these changed my opinion on them.
