Mental note - book early and come back as often as possible. 10 star food and service. The sake pairings were also heavenly.

Hard to book but so worth it! Sushisho Masa seats only 7 pax. The dining experience is intimate and welcoming.

You will be fed seasonal creations and the classics from Chef’s Omakase. Expect a very full meal—do not eat for 5-6 hours before to fully enjoy this!

The staff are versed in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and of course Japanese. This makes it more enjoyable for travellers. Remains top of my list.

I will not post many photos out of discretion that such restaurants prefer.

This was likely the most epic dining experience in our lives, and we’ve been fortunate enough to dine at a number of Michelin restaurants globally! There are only 7 seats in this nondescript restaurant, and it was a nearly 4 hour experience we won’t forget! Chef Masakatsu Oka is an absolute beast — he did two services back-to-back in the same night without taking any noticeable breaks. Chef would masterfully pump out piece after piece of sushi, until we all eventually tapped out. In total, we probably had about 60 pieces of sushi and various delicacies — liver, sperm, brain etc. We were told the average dinner is around 45-50 pieces, so we were feeling quite proud! In fact, we went over the prepaid amount, so ended up paying a little bit extra in cash, which we absolutely did not mind. Chef didn’t speak too much English, but had an upbeat energy and was happy to answer questions via one of his team members, who spoke English. The rest of the team (4-5 members total) worked flawlessly together and truly made our experience such a memorable one. At the end of service (well past midnight), Chef graciously took a photo with us and handed us a card, inviting us back. We sincerely cannot wait to return!
