The soup quite good, though personally not the best, have found better meals for the same price here

The ordering machine is a bit tricky I think

Often referred to as the best tantanmen in Tokyo. It's definitely very good!
I would watch the two levels of spiciness - and especially the chili oil. The chili oil is not a problem because it is spicy it's because it's *oil*. When you go for 5 and 5 spicy you get 5 scoops of oil... Which is too much oil.

Long queues so beware.

Really good tan tan men experience here. A lot of varieties, you can get them in soupy or dry form. They have seasoned specials too. There is usually a line so you know it is pretty good shop just by that! It has a few other branches in Tokyo in case you are not near here.

Good choice for lunch if you visit ueno park or the shrine nearby especially during ume season.

Visited at night. Dinner after watching a movie. I grew up eating 175°DENO in Hokkaido, so I've always wanted to visit this restaurant. It's my first time trying Dandan noodles with half rice and hot spring egg without soup, so I recommend spiciness level 3, numbing level 2...

Translated from Japanese:

I started the year-end and New Year holidays from today, so I had lunch on my day off. I went to this restaurant to get some food. I arrived around 11:30 and was seated without much of a wait. Order a large serving of white sesame dandan noodles with a level of spiciness of 5 and a level of numbness of 4. If you're going to take the trouble to eat rice...

Translated from Japanese:

I had the Dandan noodles without white sesame soup. There is a system where you can choose the spiciness and numbness, and we recommend 2.2 for first-timers. I asked for 2,2, but I felt like the spiciness would be around 4! Numbness 2 is surprisingly...
