Tachiguizushi Akira Review Summary

A fantastic sushi restaurant with delicious offerings. It was a bit hard to find, but each piece was incredibly satisfying. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, especially the variety of tuna, which was exceptional. Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait in line for long, which made the experience even better.

Bafun Uni was worth an order even though it was 14,000 yen now. Really creamy & pleasant briny aftertaste. My pro tip for this place is just to spam the Chutoro & Tuna+pickle Roll pieces. Get like 5 of each or something + some uni to really get bank for your buck. Absolutely a nice place for sushi beginners and worth a lunch spot.

The sushi was amazing! Honestly it's amazing. Just dont be late. Totally our fault for not planning ahead, just super hard to find the place, and getting a little cold treatment at the start, which is fair, considering the turn overs and allocated tike per person to dine. Can't blame them I guess. Just wished it was a little warmer in terms of hospitality. But would still go back and highly reccomend, cause that's jisy how good the sushi was.

Restaurant is slightly hard to find as there were no clear signs on the first floor(Restaurant is located in B1). There was a short queue once I reached and service staff and chef were both very friendly and accommodating, taking time to explain different items on the menu on english. The setting is intimate with you standing just across from the chef but all the better as you can see what /how he is preparing the sushi.

The sushi was excellent with balanced flavors and fresh ingredients. Rice was just the right temp and consistency. Overall an excellent experience.

Queued 30 minutes before opening on a Saturday morning and there were already 3 people in line. You can order sushi of your own choice but you only get one chance before entering.

Overall the sushi is very reasonably priced considering the quality, plus you get to eat what you like and the chef is very friendly to foreigners. Worth a visit if you are in the area and don’t mind standing for at least an hour straight (queuing and eating).
