Takotora Kamishichiken Description
Located in the Kamishichiken neighborhood of Kyoto, Takotora is a unique and charming restaurant that specializes in the popular Japanese street food, takoyaki. Takoyaki is a delicious snack made of batter filled with octopus, cooked in a special takoyaki pan until golden brown and crispy on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside.
What sets Takotora apart from other takoyaki restaurants is their commitment to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The octopus used in their takoyaki is sourced locally and is incredibly tender and flavorful. The batter is made from a secret family recipe, resulting in takoyaki that is light, fluffy, and incredibly addictive.
The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with a traditional Japanese decor that transports you to another time. The friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home, and the aroma of freshly cooked takoyaki fills the air.
In addition to their classic takoyaki, Takotora also offers a variety of unique and creative toppings and fillings. From creamy cheese to spicy kimchi, there is something for everyone to enjoy. They also offer a selection of refreshing drinks to complement your meal.
Whether you're a takoyaki enthusiast or new to this delicious street food, Takotora is a must-visit restaurant in Kyoto. The combination of their exceptional ingredients, skillful cooking techniques, and warm hospitality make for an unforgettable dining experience.

It was love... I mean Tako is something I could eat, but never yearned for, this place changed that. Sure maybe it was the quaint mom pops place attractiveness, eavesdropping on the owner asking a young customer about his mother, but really it was the special sauce on the Tako that got me.
