Takuzushi

We got lucky! We'd been in Hokkaido to ski and, almost at the end of our trip, we had had some great food but hadn't yet done 'the sushi thing'. We sniffed out this place randomly: I don't think it had been there long and certainly didn't have its Michelin Star by then. So we took a punt. There were only 2 customers eating when the 3 of us arrived so we received the personal attention of our own chef the whole time. I'm pretty used to quality sushi but I was very impressed. My friends were new to it though and their minds were totally blown! Yes it was Omakase but not in the way that some places just dump dishes on you and if you don't like them, it's your fault for not having as refined taste as the chef. Our chef was there to watch us as we ate or ask us questions and so tailored the menu accordingly. How else could everything be done for you... perfectly to your taste? This meal cost us 10 x what some of our other meals cost us during our stay, so I was a little concerned how my friends might respond... no question, they thought it was worth every penny!

Omakase sushi dinner was to be amazed and remembered. Each sushi had a distinct taste and texture. It is reasonably priced for the quality.
