The food was tasty and fresh.
The place was tiny but cozy like in 199x year.

Great place for kaisendon, chirashi bowl. They have english menu if necessary, but most of the menu items are posted on the wall. Self-serve tea/water + utensils and the chirashi was well decorated with fresh seafood.

Amazing sushi and staff!! I was recommended by the Spa around the corner called Saito Yu.
Do both if you can!

I stopped by because I was staying near Nippori Station and needed a place to have a quick lunch. It has a very neighborhood store feel, and the menu is very diverse. I think they give you an English menu if you ask for it, but perhaps because I spoke in Japanese, I received a menu in Japanese with no pictures and explained it to my friend one by one before ordering.😂
I had the Kaisendon and my friend had the sushi lunch (large). The portion size was perfect and the taste was good. However, I don't know how the sushi was, but the Kaisendon rice was not freshly cooked, but rather hard, like rice that had been in an insulating rice cooker for a long time. I just think the cheap taste was good.
The interior of the store is old, so the cushions are very dirty, so this is not recommended for those who are uncomfortable with such things. They bring water to you at first, but after that you bring it yourself. The staff lady was very friendly and seemed to speak simple English. Available as an izakaya in the evening.
