A classic tempura restaurant in the Roppongi Midtown area of Tokyo. Course meal or a la carte options. For best experience book the counter seating. The batter is light and crispy as you could expect from such high end establishment.

This is a high end tempura shop at Tokyo Mid-Town and was really worth it. Pricey for sure but we had a great experience here. Staff do not really speak English but we really appreciated their effort in trying to explain things to us. If you book online (high recommended as it was full during lunch time), get the view by the side of the window. We loved the view. My girlfriend is vegetarian and there was a vegetable tempura course which she enjoyed and loved.

Have been this restaurant for lunch. We ordered lunch set and the food was excellent. However, the staff was rush to get us invoice and collected the plates on table even if we had not finished the meal. The ice cream was served when there were plenty of food on table. The staff was too eager to take rest. I really didn’t expect such level of service at this price range.

The interior decor is comforting and pretty. It feels like a place where one should not speak loudly. The meal is quite long for a lunch - probably because we ordered the set menu. The tempura is less crispy than expected but I'm not sure if that's normal for freshly fried tempura. It was more pricey than expected and while overall enjoyable, I'm not sure I would go there again for that price.

The food was good, service was good as well. I liked the view of the restaurant if you sit on the bar counter (I believe there were only counter seats in this restaurant). I have been to the same restaurant at their Ginza branch as well and will give it the same review. I think the service at Ginza was better. This one at Roppongi had nicer seats and view (there is no view if you sit on the counter seat in Ginza).
