Tempura Yamanoue Ginza, formerly part of the now-closed Hilltop Hotel, has reopened at Ginza 6, and it’s definitely worth a visit! I enjoyed the Chef’s Menu (No. 2) for lunch, and the Japanese tempura was simply amazing. Made with fresh ingredients and coated in a light, crispy batter, it was fried in fresh oil, resulting in a delicious meal without the greasiness. To be fair, I had lunch at 11 am, so the oil was indeed fresh. The freshness was impressive—I even found a little pearl in my oyster! I was also pleasantly surprised by the peanut tempura, which was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, this place offers a culinary adventure you don’t want to miss!

Fancy tempura lunch set with fancy price in Ginza6 better reserve a table in advance (can reserve in tablecheck)
Full course seasonal seafood and vegetables tempura.
My most favorite is little bit of small seafood tempura don with sweet soy sauce.

When booking a female waiter had a bad attitude and was indeed a little surprised to encounter this situation in Japan. There are no surprises in terms of food, this price positioning is not ideal, and will not visit again anyway

Dissatisfied with the experience: the service and food were below expectations. Firstly, I asked about the counter's availability, and the waiter refused me, saying it was fully booked. But even until 10:30PM, there were still six free seats all the time. And when the server handed me the drinks menu, there was a big oil stain on it, and he even forgot my drink order! I might conclude there was no standard service at all. The food was OK but below average. Vegetables are the most significant part to reflect the chef's effort, but they tasted like oil and rare. No server even noticed we did not finish the food because it tasted terrible. I might say that a junior could cook better. I am sorry that I did not like the restaurant, service, or even the food. (BTW, do not try the last rice bowl; it is a disaster.

HIgh end expensive tempura restaurant inside Ginza Six Mall. Fresh ingredients, nice cooking. Not very busy and always refuse walk in customers. Resevations only
