Great Yaki mochi from a traditional handmade store. Gotta get some while you are near by. It's one of the locals favorite Japanese style treats.

Stroll around the east gate. There were few shops open in the morning and it was quiet, but this one was open from 9 o'clock so I stopped by.
The fragrant rice cake contained elegant bean paste, and was easy to eat and perfect for walking around.
