I can’t believe we got a reservation last minute. Didn’t know what to expect but wow! Half of us got the surf and turf combination and the other half just got meat. I think the meat and seafood was incredible. Both meals however came with beautiful and delicious appetizers.

Our chef was so friendly and skillful, and the waiters were so kind. They knew my friend was left handed without him telling and they served his stuff accordingly! We also were the last service and they let us stay a bit longer in the coffee room to enjoy the Kyoto tower view and dessert.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had, and considering the quality and ambiance, it is an absolute steal compared to the many other teppenyaki places across Kyoto and Osaka. Will 100% come back again.

World class food. Truly. The wagyu beef was incredibly. Definitely the best I’ve had in my life. Service was outstanding. Every plate was beautifully curated. I’d recommend this place.

Was tasked to find a teppanyaki place for our 7 Day Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara trip. Passed on those in Nara And Kobe. But when I saw the reviews for this place, I knew we had to come here. Rushed here just in time for lunch from Osaka. Was greeted by great service by all the staff. We were ushered to the teppanyaki live counter. Staff spoke English (best I’ve seen all trip) and could explain all the queries we had.

We ordered 4 Torii set meals that cost 9,000¥ per person. BEST MEAL EVER. The amount of pride the chef had in handling his tools and table was well reflected in the awesome taste and standard of the food.

Did I mention the kickass view of Kyoto Tower while enjoying our awesome Teppankyi lunch?

If you’re traveling to Kyoto for a short stopover/ vacation, you need this to give this place a try. 5 FULL STARS FOR ME.

Teppanyaki and Hibachi are two Japanese cooking styles that involve grilling on a hot iron plate. While often used interchangeably, they have distinct differences. Teppanyaki refers to cooking on a flat griddle, where chefs skillfully prepare dishes like steak, seafood, and vegetables in front of diners. Hibachi, on the other hand, uses a round, open-grate grill heated by charcoal or gas, imparting a smoky flavor to the food. Discover the nuances and theatrical flair of these two captivating Japanese culinary arts.
