We found this place from its high reviews on Google maps, and we're glad we did! The food was amazing, and it's great to sit in front of the chef and watch him prepare everything. The place is small, with maybe 8 seats around the chef, plus a side room. The staff barely spoke any english, and had no english menu, but we did well by ordering the items they had pictures of on the menu (plus one or two things we saw on Google maps photos - and the couple seated beside us helped us a little)

We had grilled steak, crispy grilled chicken, asparagus wrapped in pork, a type of pancake, and grilled vegetables with cheese, with a few drinks and went home happy.

My family and I went on a trip to celebrate my father's birthday, as it was recommended by a friend who was stationed in Hiroshima. The sea urchin horen was recommended everywhere, so I decided to try it anyway. Apparently the market price was 4400 yen at that time. The plate that came out looked like stir-fried spinach with sea urchin on top. A little disappointing. I thought all the oyster holen were delicious, all having the same taste. So I ordered additional grilled oysters! After all, Hiroshima is all about oysters.

Teppanyaki and Hibachi are two Japanese cooking styles that involve grilling on a hot iron plate. While often used interchangeably, they have distinct differences. Teppanyaki refers to cooking on a flat griddle, where chefs skillfully prepare dishes like steak, seafood, and vegetables in front of diners. Hibachi, on the other hand, uses a round, open-grate grill heated by charcoal or gas, imparting a smoky flavor to the food. Discover the nuances and theatrical flair of these two captivating Japanese culinary arts.
