Teppanyaki Senju Review Summary

The chef of this restaurant shows a deep commitment to high-quality ingredients and great respect for the producers. While Japanese ingredients are known for their exceptional quality, this restaurant stands out for using truly excellent ingredients. The dedication of each staff member is also impressive, reflecting their serious approach to their work.

Having visited nearly all the restaurants around Tachikawa, I can confidently say this one is exceptional. Despite being in a challenging location with low foot traffic, it has been loved by the local community and has thrived for decades. The current chef, the founder’s son, is the second generation.
The fact that this restaurant has thrived for so long is a testament to the exceptional quality of its dishes, which far surpass their price.

One of my favorite dining experiences ever and perfect for a date night. We went for our anniversary and it was awesome. Not only is the food incredible, but the service was just outstanding. The menu is in Japanese so I recommend sitting at the counter right by the grill, also, it’s the best view in the place! Watching the food preparation was so much fun.
Parking is nearby too.

We had an amazing meal here tonight and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special meal in Tachikawa. The chef sources all the best fresh ingredients locally from his friends and the wagyu beef is flown in from Kyushu. If you sit at the bar you can watch as he expertly makes each dish and it’s clear the chef and his staff all love what they do. The chef’s mom even makes the smoked potato salad which was excellent - and I usually dislike potato salad. We ordered the Wagyu Course set with the recommend sake or wine (sake for my husband, wine for me) and while a splurge at 10,000 JPY per person total was so very good. It came with pate mini sandwiche, salad with fresh Parmesan, grilled Sea Bass (Suzuki), wagyu beef, risotto with Hamburg steak, grilled Camembert cheese with honey, chew cake, and sake or wine. This will be our new go to restaurant for special occasions as we live near Tachikawa!

This meal was for a friend's birthday. Very nice staff, food and atmosphere and good value for money. The ingredients are very fresh and the portions are generous. Every staff members are very friendly and attentive. We felt so welcome. We will surely visit again!

Very lovely and intimate spot. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The steak was super tender and their was a fish that was amazing but I didn't know what it was called.
