The City Bakery Bistro Rubin Marunouchi Oazo Review Summary

One of the Citi Bakeries underground of the building in front of the Tokyo station. This restaurant is spacious and has more seats than you can see from outside. It becomes busy during lunchtime. All food were freshly cooked at the right temperature.

We visited the place around 4:30 PM today, and it was almost empty. We ordered a chicken breast with a seasonal vegetable fritter (very small in size) and a grilled hamburger steak with red wine sauce. Both were cooked to perfection. The dishes were served with freshly baked small hot bread and a jar of still water. While the overall experience was pleasant, the prices felt a bit steep given the portion sizes, particularly the side dishes, which were notably small. Otherwise, everything was great.

Well known bakery and bistro chain throughout Tokyo. We decided to try lunch over a weekend at their B1 location near a Tokyo station. Really nice atmosphere with attentive staff.

Menu selection is decent and the quality of the food was good but a bit on the pricier side given the portion amount. In particular, the tuna frit and fries stood out, coffee was good too. They have free bread refills if it comes with your food selection.

Wasn't too busy during lunch peak on a Saturday so you should be able to walk in and if you wait to, shouldn't be too long.

I had the chicken katsu burger and maybe its taste specific found it to be very oily. It was quite huge. The lunch didn't come with set drinks inclusive which would have been better.

The very nice atmosphere is good for couples, interesting food menu. shall go back again another time.
