Japanese: Yakitori

Toge Description

Located in the quiet neighborhood of Ushigome Kagurazaka in Tokyo, Toge is a hidden gem that specializes in yakitori, a traditional Japanese grilled chicken skewer dish. What sets Toge apart from other dining establishments is its use of premium ingredients, such as Hichinai Jidori chicken known for its firm texture and rich flavor, and Nana-tani duck sourced directly from Kyoto. These ingredients are carefully prepared and grilled to perfection on individual skewers over Kishu Binchotan charcoal, resulting in juicy and flavorful yakitori.

The restaurant itself exudes a calm and relaxed atmosphere, with a spacious counter made from natural pine wood. This provides a comfortable and inviting space for guests to enjoy their meal. Toge also offers a unique dining experience with its To-ge Course, which includes a selection of yakitori skewers and vegetable skewers, as well as a delicious duck sashimi. This course allows guests to savor the variety of flavors and textures that Toge has to offer.

Whether you're a fan of yakitori or looking to try it for the first time, Toge is the perfect place to indulge in this classic Japanese dish. With its high-quality ingredients, skilled preparation, and inviting ambiance, Toge guarantees a memorable dining experience that will leave you craving for more.

Reservations can be made from the same day one month in advance
Since it was a celebration, I booked a private room for 4 people☺️
A nice restaurant with a very nice atmosphere that can be used for dates and entertainment.

Order is 10,000 yen with seared duck
Assorted vegetables
Kyoto Kameoka Seared Nanaya Duck
2 types of small bowls
6 pieces of yakitori
2 vegetable skewers, etc.
Finishing meal

To be honest, I don't think vegetables taste good...
Seared duck is fresh and delicious.

Shime's rice is
Meringue TKG. You can choose from minced rice or Inaniwa udon ☺️

The plump green onions, chewy calf, and crunchy minced rice were delicious!

I'll visit you again🥹

Exceptionally delicious yakitori. The atmosphere inside the store is nice, with a cone-shaped counter. Many people come here on dates or for a leisurely meal with their spouses. Although the price is quite high for yakitori (about 600 yen per piece), is it reasonable to eat yakitori of this level?

*Stars evaluate added value based on cost performance (does the taste and experience exceed the price?)

My boss brought me to the store for the first time.
Although it was a weekday night, the restaurant was full.
It seemed like I had reserved a private room, so I was guided to one.
The private rooms are also L-shaped and have a great atmosphere.
I ordered the course, but I was also able to order additional items.
All the yakitori is delicious and I'm sure I'll come back again.
It may seem difficult to get a reservation, but I think it's still worth it!
I was able to forget about the unpleasant things about work lol
Thank you for the meal.
