If you are a Totoro fan, this is a must check out. It’s a cute little cafe off the beaten path. From the subway, navigate through the streets and finally up a hill & you’ll see the cafe tucked away on the corner—you could easily walk past it.
We got there later in the day and we weren’t able to enjoy the cafe upstairs, so we bought some of the Totoro cream puffs to take home.
The lower floor of the bakery is decorated with all kinds of Totoro figurines, stuff animals, etc. It’s super cute!
We bought mango and blueberry filled puffs. They’re so cute, were decorated with little hats and they all had eyes. The cream puffs were wide bottom too. They weren’t oversized cream puffs by American standards. The cream was dense (not in a bad way) rather than light & airy/fluffy and too sweet, like traditional cream puffs. The entire Totoro choux pastry was filled with the cream which explains the density of the cream. When you cut the puff in half, the cream holds up well. Both the mango and blueberry were delicious—I wish I bought more! I think these were reasonably priced at under $4 USD apiece.

This bakery is SO cute - the creampuffs are just absolutely adorable and good tasting, and the drinks here are great as well! The bakery/cafe has really cozy ambiance, being set in almost a home transformed into a cafe. A great place to stop by if you're looking for a really cute place to rest and enjoy some creampuffs!

Second time that we came here. Service is always great and the cream puffs have always been amazing. Definitely bring cash in case as I don't recall them taking card. We have always gone at least a half hour early to the bakery just because lines do get long. People are mostly in line in the morning due to the cafe upstairs but it is easier with takeout.

I am a huge ghibli fan and a foodie who likes to try diff things..so this cafe was a must for me. Its a cozy little cafe in a cozy little neighbourhood. To top that the cream puffs were super delicious and stayed true to all the hype. We ordered the classic custard and chocolate and loved both those flavours. A must try place if you are around this neighbourhood but be sure to come a bit in advance because the waiting gets a bit intense :)
