Tonkatsu Maruichi Review Summary

Popular Tonkatsu place in the are. I’ve had much better Tonkatsu if I compared to famous Tonkatsu place. But the portion was big, so it can satisfy salaryman’s appetite.

It’s a small busy restaurant, but they were very careful with COVID situation. There’s partitions between the seats at the counter, they ask you to wear mask til you get a food.

The best Tonkatsu ever. The pork texture is perfect and the pork smell also good. Outside Panko is light crispy. Miso soup is delicious.
Staffs always service with their smile.

This is by far the best tonkatsu I ever had. The shop is fairly small and run by a family. They are super friendly and you can see the passion they have creating the food. Their meat is excellent and they use high quality ingredients for the cabbage and miso soup. I went here already ten or more times and it still is just awesome.

It was really goooooooooooood, we saw a long queue then became the last 2 customers they served that day! It was our first tonkatzu this time, and after other tonkatzu experiences, I can say for sure it was such a serendipity to have accidentally dined there! Soooooo good! A must try in Ōmori!!!

This tonkatsu restaurant is located on Kita Zero Block, right next to Omori Station, and there is always a long line of people.

However, when I went on Saturday at 11:40, I slipped into the last seat. In fact, as I was taking photos, four people ran in and quickly passed me, so maybe the timing was good.
There are chairs for 13 people, and more than half of them are eating heartily.

For ordering, I chose the fin cutlet set meal and bottled beer Kirin. Beer comes out quickly and seems to be served fresh.

Set meals arrive slowly after 20 minutes.

The meat is juicy and delicious.
