This place treats their Tonkatsu so seriously, they have an English instructional drawing to teach us tourists the CORRECT way to eat it.
I mean, that really says it all. I’ve never had a Tonkatsu that was so delicious. It was incredibly crispy, the pork was juicy, and yet surrounded with this layer of rich fat. I don’t think I’m doing justice describing this. The sauce was great, the cabbage was somehow crispier than many french fries I’ve eaten, and the mustard… wow that is some real mustard.
We got here on a Tuesday about 10 minutes BEFORE they opened, and there were 3 locals waiting in line ahead of us. These were serious locals too… they came solo, knew exactly what they wanted, didn’t even need the menu, and were eating like pros. In and out within 20 minutes.
Anyways, I’m ranting a little. This place is incredible. It’s a bit expensive, but you’ll be full and I don’t think you’ll find an experience similar. I’m confident saying that since I was surrounded by locals, despite the staff’s obvious ability to assist tourists.

This is definitely worth the visit. The staff are so friendly and give you an English translated menu. They also leave you a small leaflet on how best to eat tonkatsu. The food was delicious - got the pork sirloin tonkatsu meal. This had the pork tonkatsu, shredded cabbage, a bowl of rice, miso soup, some pickle and hot green tea. I would so recommend this place if you like tonkatsu!

Staff was very attentive and wonderful.
We ordered the loin set which I will recommend everyone to get as it comes with fatty bits that are like mini flavour bombs! Price is reasonable as well!
