Toranomon Pairon Review Summary

A decent dumpling place in Toranomon Yokocho. The food was ok, and the dumplings were quite juicy but fairly standard fare for Chinese dumplings. It was a tad pricey and as a lunch set, seems a little light, but maybe understanding given the location. Service was ok and atmosphere is quite nice, but the seats are a little squashy. A bonus was they had English menus.

Busy and small Chinese restaurant in the Toranomon complex on the 3rd floor.
Ordering is a little complicated if you’re an English speaker, but the food is worth it.

Food well prepared and comes in whatever order the chef prepares it. Good lunch spot.

Great, freshly made dumplings and gyozas. Tasted pretty authentic.

A Taiwanese restaurant popular for its large dumplings. The ladies' lunch set starts at 900 yen, so you can have lunch at a reasonable price in this area. For an additional 100 yen, I was able to change from white rice to lurohan or chicken rice, so I decided to order chicken rice.
The first thing brought was a small bowl. It also comes with appetizers such as tofu, soup, and a side dish, making it very filling. The chicken rice that came after that was the size of a proper bowl, with tender chicken on top and an authentic taste! Star anise is effective and you can feel the Taiwanese flavor.
The main gyoza has a visual appearance that you don't often see, it's chewy and glossy. The skin is about as thick as a boiled dumpling, and there's plenty of meaty filling inside. These are juicy dumplings with hot meat juices flowing out from inside, and the white ones have a unique flavor with cinnamon. But it was very delicious!
By the way, although it's called a ladies' set, men can also order it 🫶 Lunch is recommended as it's cost-effective!
There were a lot of unusual menu items that I wanted to try, so I'd like to come at night next time😊

PAIRON was founded in Iidabashi in 2011 by owner Ryutaro Yamamoto.

Mr. Pyron's unique ``gyoza'' is the result of repeated training and original research.

It has an addictive chewy texture and a cute shape with no folds!

The gyoza, which is completely different from anything before, quickly became a hot topic and was featured in numerous media outlets, including magazines and television.

Currently, in addition to our main store in Iidabashi, we have stores in Ichigaya and here in Toranomon Hills.

[Toranomon Pylon] will open in June 2020 on the 3rd floor of Toranomon Hills Business Tower “Toranomon Yokocho”!

The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of Taiwan, with menus all over the wall!
In addition to 16 table seats, there are also several counter seats.

After all, it's gyoza!

Gyoza are chewy and contain a lot of flavor, so you won't get tired of them and will want to come back for more.

It also makes a great accent when served with ginger, like in xiaolongbao!

There were many other items on the menu that I was interested in, so if I have a chance, I would definitely like to visit again.
