This is one of the finest restaurants for chicken yakitori lovers. There is no food menu. I came with family upon a friend’s recommendation and we all had an exceptional experience from beginning to end.
The restaurant sets the tone with its understated, full black, logo-less storefront; the inside ambiance mirrors this but in a calming and cozy way. Upon being kindly greeted despite being late, the chef asked whether there’s anything we didn’t/ can’t eat. Each dish was then served in a timely fashion, cooked to perfection - juicy, tender, and flavourful. The staff were proactive and highly attentive to our needs - refilling radish, replacing plates, etc. As we are foreigners, they also made an effort to write in English the various choices for our final selection of rice/noodles.
Overall, I find the service to be top notch for a boutique restaurant and that they really took prior Google reviews into consideration as we did not encounter any dietary or communication issues. I also really appreciate the amount of care they put into the food they serve. The one star off food is because personally, I just generally don’t eat that much meat.

The most amazing Yakitori place that I have ever been! Really don’t know how the chef can cook the meat so balanced, juicy and tasty and tender, even the chicken breast was soooooo tender and juicy!! Unbelievable!! Liver Sashimi was also incredible!! 18-course was really a lot…didn’t have any room for rice or noodle anymore and we had to share one rice ball. Thank you for the memorable night!!

Torizawa in Roppongi is not just an exceptional yakitori restaurant; it stands out as one of the finest I have ever visited, surpassing even the most popular spots in Taiwan known for their long queues. What sets Torizawa apart is the masterful grilling skills of its chefs. They achieve a symphonic balance of flavors, ensuring that each skewer is cooked to perfection without being overly done. The seasoning is simple yet perfectly matched with high-quality ingredients, making each bite truly delightful.
The juiciness of each meat skewer and the perfect doneness of the vegetables, especially the zucchini which is grilled to be exceptionally juicy without any hint of charring, showcase the meticulous care taken in their preparation. This attention to detail in both cooking and seasoning is something that I’ve found to be unparalleled compared to any yakitori I’ve tried in Taiwan.
Visiting Torizawa is a must for anyone seeking the pinnacle of yakitori dining. The restaurant excels in delivering a high-quality experience where the natural flavors of the ingredients are enhanced to their fullest, affirming its reputation as a top-tier destination in the competitive world of yakitori.

If you’re tourists, do not come to this restaurant. Chefs and staff do not understand proper English. They serve you whole set of chicken skewers, if there’s something you don’t like the store will make no effort to replace them. Most items are burnt and overcooked.

Don't try the raw chicken liver if you don't want to infected by salmonella. Overall it's tasty but I'm suffering from fever and diarrhea since I dine here 4 days ago.
