Refreshing kawadoko restaurant!
We tried their kaiseki course meal made of seasonal ingredients and it was a high quality one. The stream of the river really helped us to cool down on this hot day. I think we could have stayed hours listening to the relaxing of water flowing through the mountains.
Their staff could speak some English but it was enough to communicate with us.

Very good ! Except for the sashimi which was tough and with fishbones still inside :(
Strange part was the lady originally told us they were full when my friend (who looks Caucasian) asked for two but somehow they had several tables open when I asked 30s later (am Asian). Don’t think it’s because of Japanese language since we both spoke in Japanese the whole time.

I came here because I wanted to experience the riverbed in Kibune in search of the coolness of Kyoto. First, I visited Kibune Shrine, and although the scenery was cool, I was sweating (and crying) when I got to the top.I wanted to cool off, so I had lunch here. Compared to Kyoto, it's about 7 degrees cooler here, and it's cold at night. The sound of river water and the chirping of cicadas will further calm your mind. I came here by chance, but I was so happy to be able to taste ayu and sweetfish vinegar in Kyoto.
