Went in on an extremely hot day. Relaxing and calm environment. The strawberry shaved ice was really good. The strawberry sauce was only mildly sweet and had an amazing fragrant and texture.

I think it’s as good as shaved ice can get.

I went here straight after Kenrokuen Garden to taste their famous Kakigori (Shaved Ice w/ Syrup of your choice). I ordered their no2 menu: Apricot Kakigori and I might head there again tomorrow for their no1: Strawberry Kakigori before I leave Kanazawa.

This traditional Japanese dessert place earned its first Michelin star back in 2015 or 2016 and they’ve had it since which is one of the explanations why there’s always a line of people wanting to get in. I always go this place at least once every summer and it has always been a delight. I highly recommend the matcha kakigori, brown sugar kakigori, and zenzai. They also have a small traditional garden which gives a zen vibe and sets the mood of the place.
